I find it unfathomable that Brett Hull was able to score 86 goals in 1990-1991. I mean that’s crazy! That’s only 6 less goals than Wayne Gretzky scored a full decade earlier in his monstrously ridiculous 212 point season (and can you believe that’s not his highest points total!?). And we all know that goalies forgot how to play their position for the entire 1980s. The goalies were still bad in the early 90s, but not 1980s bad.
Also, Brett scored over 70 goals in 3 seasons. Only the Great One himself surpasses the Golden boy in that regard (Gretzky had 4).
Congratulations on making the Hall of Fame, Brett.
